PEKAES is one of the oldest Polish transportation companies. The shares of the company have been quoted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2004.
1958, 22 December - establishment of the PEKAES International Car Transportation Company.
1982 - PEKAES Auto-Transport SA Joint Stock Company was established and took over the realization of international car transportation from PMPS PEKAES.
1991 - change of the Company organizational structure and transformation into a holding organization. PEKAES Auto-Transport SA became the dominating subject constituting the strategic – capital center of the Group.
1991-1999 - the PEKAES Group widened the scope of rendered services, also offering logistic servicing – trade services, apart from international and national shipping.
1999 - PEKAES Auto-Transport SA assumed the name of PEKAES SA.
2004 - PEKAES SA becomes a company quoted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
2004 - for the twelfth time PEKAES accompanies Czesław Lang in the role of logistic service provider for Tour de Pologne. The Lang Team is fighting for the nomination to the UCI ProTour. The logistic audit is an element of evaluation, in which the International Cycling Union gives us 99,9 points out of the possible 100. Tour de Pologne joins the group of such known events as Tour de France, Giro d'Italia or Vuelta a Espana. Now Poland has an international race rated among the most important cycling classification in the world.
2005 - acquisition of of Company's shares by strategic investor - AKJ Capital Logistics private equity fund.
2006 - beginning of the process of merging companies from the Group into one PEKAES.
2006 - initiation of the Development and Restructuring Plan.
2007, 17 January - announcement the PEKAES's Strategy 2007-2009
2007, 2 July - merging PEKAES SA and PEKAES Multi-Spedytor into one company
2007, 20 July - PEKAES gets Business Superbrands Title
2008, 30 April - establishment of the De Point SA - developer company. PEKAES owns 100% of shares
2008, 22 December - PEKAES celebrate 50 anniversary.
2009 - finish of the restructuring of PEKAES
April 2010 – changes in the Management Board. Jacek Machocki becomes the new President of the Management Board and General Director of PEKAES SA.
June 2010 – announcement of the development strategy for years 2010-2012. PEKAES primary focus is on:
- investment in people and technologies
- diversification of product portfolio and development of ‘ logistics delicacies’ offer
- improvement of efficiency
June 2010 – PEKAES No. 1 in terms of revenue from road forwarding services according to the ranking of “Rzeczpospolita”.
September 2010 – good results for the second quarter of 2010 earned PEKAES a place among the “autumn stock market hits’. As assessed by the experts of Brokerage Houses, the only TFL Polish company listed on the stock exchange will soon show its potential and bring profits.
October 2010 – PEKAES wins the ‘Premium Brand’ title among the corporate investors. The Premium Brand 2010 awarded the title to only 7 public companies which enjoy the best reputation on the capital market.
November 2010 – in 3 Q 2010 Grupa PEKAES generated consolidated revenue of 412.3 million PLN in relation to 347.8 million PLN in the analogous period of 2009. The EBITDA was 3.5 million PLN, while gross profit on sales amounted to 40.3 million PLN, representing a 41.1 % growth as compared with 3 Q2009. In the third quarter 2010 alone, we recorded another positive net result of 0.6 million PLN.
November 2010 – PEKAES brings corporate investors into the world of logistics. The Investor Day in PEKAES is now a tradition. This year the focal point of the talks was the part of PEKAES strategy which focused on building the business model concentrated on TFL services.
December 2010 – according to the strategic assumptions, PEKAES disposes of its assets which are not related to the core TFL business activities and signs two preliminary agreements with the buyers of the real properties located at Siedmiogrodzka 1/3 and Grzybowska 81 in Warsaw as well as executes a sale agreement for petrol station in Słubice.
